What We're Looking For:
- Qualifications: Certificate of Apprenticeship or Journeyman Electrician ecognized by the Province of BC.
- Valid BC Driver's Licence and access to personal vehicle as required
- Experience: Two (2) years' recent, related experience.

Detailed Overview
Under the general supervision of the Manager, performs journeyman tasks relating to the installation, inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of the electrical facilities and equipment in compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
Position maybe required to work at more than one site.
Responsibilities
- Installs new electrical services for new equipment and alters existing services where necessary.
- Repairs and maintains equipment such as electric motors, fire alarm systems, nurse call systems, electric dryers, building automation sytem, etc.
- Performs preventative maintenance on such electrical facilities as motor control panel centres, electrical panels, transfer switches, etc.
- Performs all the duties of a Maintenance Worker V.
- Maintains stock of electrical supplies and parts.
- Assists in inspecting and supervising electrical work being done by electrical contractors.
- Assists in planning, estimating and costing labour and materials for new projects and equipment installations. Interprets blueprints, drawings and specifications in order to determine the material and equipment required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Certificate of Apprenticeship or Trades Qualification Certificate as a Journeyman Electrician recognized by the Province of British Columbia. Two years' recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Valid BC Driver's Licence and access to personal vehicle as required.
