HOURS OF WORK:
The stated hours of work are approximate as schedules are subject to change with the operational needs of the Health Centre. Changes made to hours of work will follow the terms of the applicable collective agreement, company policy and/or legislation.
 


WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Provides program direction and support for the day-to-day operations and facilitates the ongoing successful operation and growth of Diagnostic Imaging Services, including ultrasound, nuclear medicine, general radiology, interventional radiology, MRI, CT, mammography, vascular clinic, and breast assessment. This position works within a shared clinical management model with another Diagnostic Imaging Clinical Manager, with accountability for assigned modalities, services and staff as determined by the Director. The Managers work collaboratively to ensure consistent leadership, operational practices and service delivery across Diagnostic Imaging. The Manager is responsible within their assigned portfolio for operational planning, human resources, patient access and service coordination, quality and risk management, radiation safety, financial and budget management, contracts, equipment and facility issues, information systems/workflows, and departmental projects. Provides support, leadership and direction to front-line staff and works collaboratively with physicians, educators, hospital departments and external partners to support safe, timely, high-quality patient care.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Degree in a relevant field, such as Health Sciences, Technology, Business, Management, or another related discipline an asset.

  • Completion of health management, leadership courses or equivalent would be an asset

  • CMRITO Registration preferred

  • Leadership certifications or credentials an asset

  • IT or Diagnostic specialty certifications/credentials

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Demonstrated leadership ability

  • Greater than five years of clinical experience preferably in Diagnostic Imaging

  • Interpersonal sensitivity

  • Demonstrated care for staff and patient well-being

  • Three to five years leadership or management experience

  • Excellent human resources management

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with staff, physicians and patients/families

  • Strong understanding of DI workflows preferred

  • Working knowledge of interfacing/technology standards and functionality

  • Working knowledge of networking, interfacing, internetworking, communications and video technologies and their application in DI systems

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects at a time

  • Demonstrated ability to achieve goals and objectives within specified time frames

  • Excellent conflict resolution and change management skills

  • Computer skills and knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet programs

  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing education

  • Membership and participation in a relevant professional organization

  • Organizational awareness
