Job Description: Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patient care. Active participation in the model of care that integrates quality improvement principles, lean methodology, best practice, advanced technology an patient family centered care. Responsible for promoting organizational mission, vision and values by providing safe quality nursing care to clients.

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
   

Other Education and Training

• Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate (BCLS)
• Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing is acceptable
• Psychiatric Nursing diploma is acceptable
• Nursing diploma is acceptable
   

Knowledge and Abilities

• Ability to promote effective relationships within the SHA and the community.
• Ability to initiate and exercise critical thinking and decision-making
• Knowledge in nursing process
• Ability to demonstrate appropriate level of professional conduct and judgement.
• Ability to exercise independent nursing judgement
• Current clinical knowledge and skill are required in a broad range of areas.
