Job Description: As part of an interdisciplinary team, the Community Mental Health Nurse provides a complex range of screening, triage, assessment, treatment and case management services to an adult community mental health and/or forensic population. The incumbent provides program consultation and co-ordination, evaluation of clinical interventions, clinical supervision, preceptor students in formal clinical practicum, and provides professional and public education regarding mental health issues and resources.

Education

  • Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing (BPN)

Licenses

  • Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)

Other Education and Training

  • Nursing diploma is acceptable
  • Bachelor of Nursing is acceptable
  • Workplace Assessment & Violence Education (WAVE)
  • Psychiatric Nursing diploma is acceptable

  • Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
