Job Description: Reporting to the Manager, the Physical Therapist – Degree is responsible for participating in program planning, development, organization and delivery of therapy services within the framework of the interdisciplinary team. This will be done in accordance with the Saskatchewan Health Authority mission statement and Therapy Department statement of purpose, policies and procedures of the facility and department. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy

Other Education and Training

  • Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)

Knowledge and Abilities

  • Requires coping skills to work w/clients dealing with stress/psychosocial issues
  • Ability to integrate ideas into a team treatment approach
  • Initiative & judgment to plan implement/modify treatment programs for clients
  • Ability to report client information in accordance with professional standards
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Requires concentration and attention for resident/patient assessment 
  • Communicate effectively orally and written with clients of varying ages
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, independent judgment & organizational skills
  • Requires clinical and professional judgement to adapt to changing conditions
  • Ability to plan, organize/coordinate efforts with other team members
  • Ability to collect, record, report comprehensive client information accurately
